Mela’s secure e-mail service

Secure email is primarily intended for customers who cannot use Mela’s e-Service or who are authorised to act on behalf of another person under a power of attorney. 

Secure email requires strong authentication. You can verify your identity using Suomi.fi e-identification with your online banking credentials, a mobile certificate or a certificate card. You can also verify your identity using European eIDAS identification. Read more about eIDAS identification. 

From the Recipient drop-down list, select the subject that best matches your enquiry, for example “Pensions”.  

When you receive a secure email from Mela, you can open it using a code sent to your mobile phone by text message.
