As of 12 May, prompt for activation of Suomi.fi Messages when using identification by Suomi.fi
There will be a change to the Suomi.fi- authentication from 12.5.2025. When you identify yourself in Suomi.fi, the service will suggest that you enable Suomi.fi messages. The prompt is shown to everyone over 18 who has not yet activated the service Suomi.fi Messages. This change is part of the transition towards digital government.
When using Mela´s online service, you identify yourself in Suomi.fi.
However, until now Mela has not sent messages through Suomi.fi Messages.
When you activate Suomi.fi Messages you will receive your messages from authorities smoothly and securely. You access the messages quickly, you will find them in one place, and they are always available.
