With this calculator the grant recipients can estimate the amount of the insurance premiums based on their grant or scholarship. The exact calculation of the insurance premiums in accordance with the insurance details can be found in Mela e-services (available in Finnish and Swedish). 

The approximately 0.5% higher insurance contribution under the Farmers Pensions Act (MYEL) of those who are 53 years or older has not been taken into account in the calculator. Contributions in accordance with the health insurance collected afterwards by the tax authorities have not been included either.

The period of validity of the insurance of a grant recipient will be determined on the basis of working time. The calculator will give you the policy-specific premiums for an insurance for a maximum of one year. For grant periods longer than one year, the calculator will give the annual premium for the insurance. 

The premium for leisure time insurance under the Act on Farmers’ Occupational Accident Insurance (MATA) is also affected by the insurance alternative you have chosen.
